About
I did my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics (Honors) from the University of Calcutta, West Bengal, India. Thereafter, did a Master of Computer Application (MCA) and a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Information Technology from the same University (University of Calcutta, West Bengal, India). I got my Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIIT Bhubaneswar in March 2021. I was fortunate enough to start my teaching career at the University of Kalyani, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, as a trainer of a Teachers Training Program organized by IOTA, Govt. of West Bengal, India. After completing my M. Tech. degree in 2011, I joined Swami Vivekananda Institute of Science and Technology, Kolkata, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and in parallel, I continued as a resource person of Computer Application for conducting Ph.D. coursework classes at the University of Kalyani, Department of Sociology in part-time mode. Thereafter, I joined the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST), Berhampur, Odisha, in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and served as an Assistant Professor there since 2012. In the year 2015, I enrolled as a Ph.D. research scholar at IIIT Bhubaneswar, in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. After successful completion of my Ph.D. coursework, I registered myself with ID C115013, dated 02/12/2016. My area of doctoral research is on Video Synopsis Generation. My key research expertise includes Advanced Image & Video Processing and Computer Vision. The coursework taken during the Ph.D. also revealed many new avenues for study. From 2015 onward, I have been serving as a Teaching Assistant at IIIT Bhubaneswar for the smooth conduct of my research work. Through the many opportunities I have had, I found a deep interest in research work and a strong aptitude for problem-solving and problem discovery. These academic and research studies have given me plenty of exposure in the field of Computer Vision, and I strongly believe that I have sufficient motivation and aptitude to work in this field. I also believe that Ph.D. The programme is an essential step for realizing my long-term goals. I also believe that the Ph.D. programme is an essential step for realizing my long-term goals. In the future, I plan to extend my doctoral research in the field of computer Vision and Image processing. My hobbies include cooking and painting.
