About
I am an Ex-ISRO Scientist, currently enrolled in a PhD program at University of Reading. I am part of the first cohort of the Advancing the Frontiers of Earth System Prediction (AFESP) Doctoral Training Program, which is jointly funded by University of Reading, UK Met Office, NCAS and ECMWF.
My previous job role was with the Atmospheric Sciences Division at Space Applications Centre, ISRO, Ahmedabad. I have work and research experience in the domains of Remote Sensing Applications in the field of Meteorology and Cloud Micro-physics (using Radars, Satellites and In-situ measurements). I am also interested in Astronomy/Astrophysics and Planetary Atmosphere Studies.
I am constantly learning and trying to leverage the use of Machine Learning and Deep Learning in the field of my research, which includes bridging the gap between physics based and data driven modelling, through better process understanding and parametrization.
I am aspiring to become a proficient and competent Research Scientist, building innovative ML/DL algorithms, models and applications leveraging the ever increasing pool of data from various sources in my current industry or any other interdisciplinary fields.
