About

With my current portfolio as Professor of Bio-Sciences and University Head-Entrepreneurship and Startups in a Multidisciplinary University (Accredited by University Grants Commission- National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Government of India with Grade A++) has instilled in me flair of translational research through entrepreneurial gateway. Briefly, at research front, my core
deliverables include Environmental Biotechnology (bioremediation of industrial effluents, biodegradation of xenobiotics, AMR and solid waste management through biotechnological interventions) as evident from publications (52), copyrights (28 awarded) and patents (15 awarded). As an alumni of Discover Israel: The Startup Nation (September, 2018), I am fairly acquainted with international outreach in terms of bi-lateral and multi-lateral grant facilitation. Until recently, I had been a recipient of DST-BRICS Young Scientist-2019 (Rio De Janeiro, Brazil) under Women Category. Additionally, my role as member of Composite Task Force and a Panel Expert for INDO-ASEAN Joint R&D Program, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, has improvised need based applied research solutions beyond academic landscape. Being nominated for prestigious Prof KL Bilgrami Awardee-2023 by Society of Plant Research, my attempts in contributing to commercial R&D gateway would be earmarked. Having multifaceted insights into bilateral and multi-lateral cooperation for collaborative research projects, technology transfer, fund raising and mobilization; establishment of an entrepreneurial ecosystem with ‘campus company’ recruits is need of an hour with student engagement. My past role as Principal Investigator (PI) of Government funded Biotechnology Business Incubator, Department of Science and Technology, Government of Rajasthan (Jaipur) and other industry sponsored projects have led to sector specific grant writing, research administration, financial outlay, regulatory framework, international collaborations, capacity building, science communication and outreach, quintessentially.
