About
I am a mechanical engineer and researcher specializing in thermal sciences, refrigeration and air-conditioning, heat pump systems, energy efficiency, and industrial decarbonization. I hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and have more than ten years of experience spanning research, engineering, academia, and industrial applications.
My research interests include high-temperature heat pumps, natural refrigerants, thermal energy storage, waste-heat recovery, industrial heat electrification, wet compression, CO₂ and water (R718) heat pump systems, HVAC systems, and energy-efficient thermal technologies. I am particularly interested in developing and evaluating practical, cost-effective solutions for industrial decarbonization and the transition from fossil-fuel-based heating to electrified thermal systems.
My work involves thermodynamic and dynamic modelling, experimental system development, performance assessment, techno-economic analysis, life-cycle assessment, and energy and emissions analysis. I have experience with MATLAB, REFPROP, CoolProp, EES, Python, EnergyPlus, and related engineering tools.
Currently, I work on industrial heat-pump applications, focusing on system design, thermal audits, engineering analysis, techno-economic evaluation, and implementing high-temperature CO₂ heat-pump systems for industrial process heating and cooling. My broader goal is to bridge fundamental thermal-system research with real-world industrial deployment and contribute to efficient, sustainable, and low-carbon energy systems.
