I am a dedicated researcher specializing in climate change and its impact on livestock physiology, with a particular focus on stress mitigation, animal welfare, and sustainable livestock production. My academic journey spans a Ph.D. and M.V.Sc. from the prestigious ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, where I investigated the effects of thermal and nutritional stress on livestock metabolism and gene expression. I further enriched my expertise with a Postgraduate Diploma in Animal Welfare and am currently advancing my research at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
My research explores livestock adaptation and mitigation strategies under extreme environmental conditions, with over 25 peer-reviewed publications, several book chapters, and numerous conference presentations. I have received multiple Best Paper and Oral Presentation Awards, Young Scientist recognitions, and ICAR fellowships (JRF and SRF). My international collaborations emphasize translational research that addresses the physiological, genetic, and behavioral resilience of livestock in the face of climate variability.
In addition to academic contributions, I have been actively involved in capacity-building programs through national and international workshops, focusing on sustainable livestock management and the integration of biotechnological tools for improving productivity and animal health.
With a commitment to advancing livestock welfare and enhancing climate resilience, I strive to contribute innovative solutions for the challenges posed by global climate change. I look forward to expanding collaborations and sharing insights with researchers worldwide.
Research Interests: Climate resilience in livestock, stress physiology, animal welfare, gene expression, thermal stress mitigation, and biotechnological interventions for livestock productivity.
