About
I am Anirban Bagui, working as an Assistant Professor at Department of Physics in Garhbeta college which is affiliated to Vidyasagar University. Here I am involved in teaching UG Honors, General and Generic courses in Department of Physics and electronics courses in the Department of BCA. As researcher, I am an experimental condensed matter physicist. My research interests lie in the field of renewable energies, more specifically organic photovoltaics (OPV).
I obtained my M.Sc-Ph.D. (Dual Degree) in Physics from IIT Kanpur. My doctoral dissertation was carried out under supervision of Prof. S. Sundar Kumar Iyer. During the course of my PhD program, I also worked as a student research associate for a project sponsored by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies, IIT Kanpur. After completion of PhD, I served as senior project associate at National Centre for Flexible Electronics.
Later on, I moved to CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad and worked at the Division of Inorganic & Physical Chemistry (I&PC), initially as Research Associate and then as SERB-National Postdoctoral Fellow with Dr. Surya Prakash Singh. I also gained postdoctoral research experience on Perovskite Solar Cells at Prof. TC Sum's lab, NTU Singapore. I was involved in teaching as Assistant Professor under DST-INSPIRE faculty scheme at Centre of Excellence for Green Energy and Sensor Systems (CEGESS), IIEST Shibpur (formerly BESU). I worked at North Carolina State University, Raleigh as a Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholar with world's frontier research group in OPV under supervision of Prof. Harald Ade.
