About

Dr. Raghu Solanki is currently an Institute Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN), India, where he is working on the development of programmable DNA-based nanostructures for targeted drug delivery and cancer therapy. Prior to this, he was an ANRF National Post-Doctoral Fellow (2024–2026) at IIT Gandhinagar, working with Prof. Dhiraj Bhatia on DNA-based programmable nanogels and nanocages for glioblastoma treatment.

He obtained his B.Sc. in Biochemistry (2014) from Sardar Krushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University and his M.Sc. in Life Sciences (2016), M.Phil. in Life Sciences (2019), and Ph.D. in Life Sciences (2024) from the Central University of Gujarat, India. His doctoral research focused on the design and development of albumin-based nanocarriers for targeted cancer therapy.

Dr. Solanki has been awarded several prestigious fellowships and travel grants, including the ANRF National Post-Doctoral Fellowship (2024), the SERB International Travel Support (ITS) Award (2022), and the DBT-CTEP Travel Grant (2025). He was also awarded the Excellence in Nanoscience and Nanoelectronics Award (2025). He serves as a Young Editorial Board Member for Discover Materials (Springer) and BMC Biomedical Engineering (Springer). In 2026, he received the Editorial Distinction Award from Discover Materials in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the peer-review process. He is a life member of the Soft Materials Research Society (SMRS), India, and the Society for Biomaterials and Artificial Organs, India (SBAOI), and is an associate member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS).

His research interests encompass cancer nanotechnology, DNA nanotechnology, biomaterials, and targeted drug delivery systems, with a particular focus on translating bio-inspired nanomaterials and programmable nanostructures into advanced therapeutic platforms for cancer therapy.
