About

Mr. Purnendu Sardar is currently working as a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at the Centre for Mathematical Biology and Ecology (CMBE), Department of Mathematics, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mathematics from Presidency University, Kolkata, India in 2020 and 2022, respectively. He qualified the CSIR-UGC NET JRF examination in Mathematical Sciences in June 2022 with an All India Rank (AIR) of 150. His primary research interests lie in Mathematical Biology and Epidemiology, focusing on the formulation and qualitative analysis of nonlinear dynamical models describing the spread and treatment dynamics of diseases such as HIV, cancer, tuberculosis, and diabetes. He also explores the integration of machine learning and hybrid computational approaches for data-driven epidemiological modeling and disease prediction. His work involves stability and bifurcation analysis, sensitivity studies, optimal control, and fractional-order systems, supported by extensive numerical simulations by various software like MATLAB, MATHCONT, MATHEMATICA and PYTHON. Mr. Sardar has published more than fifteen research papers so far in reputed international journals indexed in SCI and Scopus, has actively participated in several national and international conferences, and has served as a reviewer for multiple reputed international journals, contributing to the peer-review process in his field.
