Sakir Laskar

About

Mr. Sakir Laskar is a Doctoral Research Scholar of Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He holds a Master’s degree in Geography from Aligarh Muslim University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Calcutta. Mr. Laskar’s academic interests lie at the intersection of Spatial Econometrics, Remote Sensing, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). His research seeks to integrate econometric modelling with geospatial analysis to assess the impacts of environmental change on agricultural systems in vulnerable coastal regions. Through this interdisciplinary approach, he aims to contribute to sustainable coastal management and policy formulation in the context of climate change and livelihood resilience.
