About
I am a Civil Engineer with a focus on environmental and geotechnical engineering, currently serving as a Geotechnical Staff Engineer at CTL Engineering, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio. I earned my Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, where my research advanced the development of resilient and sustainable biogeochemical landfill cover systems using waste-derived materials to reduce fugitive greenhouse gas emissions. My doctoral work integrated laboratory column and batch-scale experiments to evaluate the performance and gas-removal potential of various waste-derived materials for application in landfill cover systems. Prior to my doctoral studies, I completed my M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering and Management at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. My master’s research, supported by the National Geographic Society, focused on municipal solid waste characterization in cities along the River Ganges and included participation in the “Sea to Source: Ganges” expedition, where I contributed to assessments of regional waste-management practices. I began my academic journey with a B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, which laid the foundation for my interdisciplinary approach to environmental systems, geotechnical analysis, and sustainable infrastructure development.
