Dr. Sameena Banu is an Associate Professor and former Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Khaja Bandanawaz University, Kalaburagi, India. With over 23 years of academic experience, she has served at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in diverse roles, including academic leadership, research supervision, and curriculum development.
She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from GITAM University, with research specialization in image processing and artificial intelligence. Her teaching and research interests span Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, and IoT.
Dr. Banu has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, including Scopus-indexed and UGC-CARE-listed journals. Her work covers areas such as deepfake detection, cloud consistency, intelligent systems, and blockchain-based applications. She has presented at IEEE international conferences and actively mentors M.Tech and Ph.D. students. She is also a co-author of the book "Generative AI" and holds registered design and copyright entries in emerging tech domains.
Her passion lies in blending innovative teaching methodologies with impactful research to foster knowledge-driven, application-oriented learning environments. She is a lifetime member of IETE and actively participates in national-level workshops and faculty development programs.
