Logesh Babu is a dedicated and highly skilled professional in the field of optometry, committed to the enduring maintenance and advancement of optometric practices through extensible skills.
I pursued my educational journey at Sri Ramachandra Institution of Higher Education and Research in Chennai, where I have completed a B.Optometry (2012–2016) and a Master in Optometry (2018–2020). During my academic years, I have obtained a CGPA of 8.1 and have also actively participated in various community services.
Furthermore, I have gained valuable practical experience during one year of internship program (June 2015 - July 2016) at the outpatient department of Ophthalmology department at Sri Ramachandra Institution of Higher Education and Research. I was posted in various specialty clinics, including Binocular vision, Low vision clinic, Glaucoma, Retina, contact lens clinic, and digital biometry reading. This diverse exposure allowed me to develop a well-rounded perspective on optometry.
My work experience at Sankara Nethralaya Medical Research Foundation in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, gave me valuable clinical exposure in the field of optometry. I have been actively engaged in volunteer work with organizations such as the Singhvi Charitable Trust in Chennai, participating in rural eye camps, cataract screening camps, school screening camps, and corporate outreach programmes.
My commitment to research is evident through my publications in reputable journals. I have research papers on topics such as self-refraction accuracy and myopia prevalence, showcasing my dedication to advancing the field of optometry.
With a passion for education and a desire to shape future optometrists, I have held teaching positions at prestigious universities such as Chandigarh University in Punjab and National Institute of Medical Science (NIMS) in Jaipur, Rajasthan. I have been actively involved in curriculum development, guiding students in research, and contributing to the overall academic environment. I independently supervised classes for undergraduate and postgraduate students, provided mentorship and guidance to students in clinical practice, and delivered informative presentations on various subjects such as Binocular vision, dispensing optics, ocular disease, and low vision aids.
In addition to my academic accomplishments, I hold several professional certifications, including Introduction to Research by National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), Hospital Information Technology by Coursera (Johns Hopkins University), and Fundamentals of Digital Marketing by Google Digital Garage.
