About

Srijata Biswas is presently working as an Assistant Professor at the School of Education, Adamas University, Kolkata, West Bengal with an experience of more than 10 years. She is experienced in the field of Pedagogy of Mathematics teaching as well as Teacher Education. Ms. Biswas currently lives in Kolkata though she is from Krishnagar, the place of famous clay-work. She has completed her Masters in Mathematics from Rabindra Bharati University with Operations Research as the special paper. After that she has done her B.Ed. degree from University of Calcutta and M.Ed. from University of Kalyani. She secured the first position in M.Ed. from her college. She completed her 3rd Master degree from the same University in Education subject. She has qualified both UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) and SET (State Eligibility Test) in Education. She is presently pursuing her Ph.D. degree in Education. Ms. Biswas has presented different papers at different seminars/conferences, organized by reputed institutions, published articles in care-listed journals, contributed chapters in edited books, and served as an author as well editor of various core and edited books. She is the reviewer of Journal of Emerging Technology and Innovative Research (International Peer-reviewed Journal) and Journal of Samtse College of Education, Royal University, Bhutan. She has keen interest in Teacher Education, Educational Psychology, especially in Child Psychology and Stress Management, Ethnomathematics and Applied Mathematics. She believes that the only reason of having a phobia with the name ‘Mathematics’ is its lack of connection with reality. Beside this, Ms. Biswas has a passion in drawing and painting. She has a keen interest in Indian Art forms that speaks about normal lifestyle. In her free time, she loves to visit hill stations or to go for a jungle safari. Ms. Biswas has an inclination to inspire other people with her positive attitude.
