About

I am a dedicated and experienced educator with over twelve years of teaching expertise in the field of English. Currently, I hold the position of Assistant Professor of English at B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai, India. I earned my Ph.D. in English Literature from Annamalai University, with a specialization in British Literature. My research interests lie at the intersection of Literature and Medical Humanities, a passion that has driven me to publish numerous articles and book chapters in prestigious peer-reviewed journals, including a research paper published with the Nature Group Journal. I have also submitted articles to renowned Scopus- and Springer-indexed journals. Additionally, I have enhanced my qualifications with a 150-hour TESOL/TEFL certificate.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching a diverse range of English Literature and Language courses, including introductory surveys, specialized seminars, and graduate-level offerings. I have also developed and delivered courses in English for Engineers, Communication Skills, Soft Skills and Workplace Communications, Oral Communication, and General English. These courses have catered to students pursuing degrees in BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BCA, MCA, MBA, M.Com, and M.Sc. My teaching philosophy revolves around creating engaging and intellectually stimulating learning environments while prioritizing student-centered teaching practices.

Beyond my teaching and research contributions, I have served as a Language Editor in the Office of the Dean of Research. Additionally, I have actively embraced leadership roles within academic departments and committees, mentoring graduate students, advising undergraduate majors, and contributing to various departmental initiatives. My passion for education, dedication to research, and commitment to fostering an inclusive and inspiring learning environment drive me to make significant contributions to both my department and the university as a whole.
