About
I’m a mechanical engineer with lots of interdisciplinary skills I’ve picked up along the way. I hold a PhD focused on applying signal processing and AI to gearbox health monitoring. Along with analytics—mainly using Matlab—I have hands‑on hardware experience with advanced sensor systems and designing test rigs. I worked on many application‑based consultancy projects during my PhD—for industries including defence research. I also mentored and instructed both academic and industry partners. I’ve taken on techno‑managerial roles like purchasing, testing, and integrating advanced sensors for in‑house labs and clients. Currently, I’m a Development Engineer on Carl Zeiss SMT’s Assembly Process Integration team.
