About
I am an undergraduate Life Sciences researcher at Gargi College, University of Delhi, with interdisciplinary research interests in bioinformatics, molecular biology, and reproductive endocrinology. My work is driven by an interest in understanding complex biological processes through both experimental and computational approaches, with a particular focus on integrating data-driven methods into biological research.
My research primarily explores the integrative bioinformatics of early pubertal onset, including the analysis of genetic, molecular, and environmental contributors. In parallel, I have worked on AI-driven approaches for predicting drug toxicity, as well as molecular docking studies to investigate interactions between bioactive compounds and target proteins. These experiences have allowed me to develop a strong foundation in computational biology and its applications in health and disease research.
I have contributed to four research outputs, including peer-reviewed publications in the areas of puberty biology and computational pharmacology. As part of my research experience, I also led a large-scale field study involving over 1,300 participants, examining the role of nutritional and lifestyle factors in early menarche. This project provided valuable exposure to study design, primary data collection, and population-level analysis.
Technically, I am experienced in gene and pathway enrichment analysis, molecular docking using AutoDock and Vina, and biological database mining across platforms such as NCBI, STRING, KEGG, and UniProt. I am particularly interested in combining computational tools with biological questions to generate meaningful insights.
In recognition of my research work, I was awarded First Prize at an international scientific conference hosted by ARSD College, University of Delhi (2025). I am currently affiliated with the Department of Zoology, Gargi College, University of Delhi, and I am actively seeking opportunities to further expand my research experience in molecular and computational biology.
