Vasanthi Palanisamy
Tianjin University, Meiji Pharmaceutical University, SRM University
About
Ms, P.Vasanthi was completed her Master’s degree in Chemistry from PSG College of Arts and Science affiliated to the Bharathiar University, Coimbatore in April 2017. After master degree, she worked in WAFE auxillary chemicals Pvt. Lmt, Coimbatore for a short duration. In 2021 she graduate her doctorate in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, under the supervision of Dr. Palash Sanphui with national and international collaborations. Her Ph.D. work was
mainly focussed on “MODULATING PHARMACEUTICALLY RELEVANT PROPERTIES OF A FEW ACTIVE PHARMACEUTICAL INGREDIENTS: FROM CRYSTAL STRUCTURE TO FUNCTION”. During her research period, she presented her works in international and national conferences. She has published 7 research articles in international SCI-indexed journals, with five as first author in the field of crystal engineering solid form. After this she has also been a visiting researcher at Meiji Pharmaceutical university under the collaboration of Prof. Toshiro Fukami. Currently she has working as a project associate professor in the same laboratory.
She has mainly interesting in design, synthesis and promising new solid forms like cocrystals, salts, eutectics with enhanced API properties like solubility, permeability, stability, bioavailability and mechanical properties. Because of the decrease in funding activities in the discovery of new chemical entities, research on the existing drug molecules opened new drug formulation as an alternate solid form with modified properties that offer extend of the life-span of the API. expertized with PXRD, SN-XRD, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, and thermal analysis DSC and TGA. And she has experience in in vivo studied of drugs and its solid forms.
