Sonaa Rajagopal

About

Sonaa Rajagopal is pursuing an Integrated Master’s degree in Software Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Chennai, India. Her research interests focus on Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning, with an emphasis on Computer Vision, Optical Networks, and Autonomous Vehicles.

Sonaa has developed strong technical skills in machine learning and deep learning, with experience in Python, Java, and neural network libraries like TensorFlow and PyTorch. Her current projects include 'AI-based Traffic Sign Detection' to enhance road safety and 'Anomaly Detection in Optical Networks' to improve connectivity in optical networks.

An active member of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (IEEE RAS) Student Chapter, Sonaa has led initiatives to promote technology in underserved communities. She received the "Chairperson's Scholarship Award" in 2012 for academic excellence. Fluent in English and Tamil, her core interests include Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning.
