About
My name is Rupesh Kumar Verma, and I hail from Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India, where I've dedicated my academic and professional journey to the realm of materials engineering. It all began with my Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from M.P. Christian College of Engineering & Technology, followed by a Master of Technology in CAD/CAM (Robotics) from Christian College of Engineering & Technology, Bhilai. However, my quest for knowledge didn't end there; it led me to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering from the esteemed National Institute of Technology Raipur, where I recently submitted my synopsis. Currently, I'm deeply engrossed in research as a Project Associate in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai, focusing on the continuous casting of steel. Leveraging computational fluid dynamics simulation and materials characterization, I'm driven to innovate and push the boundaries of what's possible in the industry. Before this, I had the privilege of serving as an Assistant Professor at Rungta Group of Institutions R1 Bhilai and Chhattisgarh Engineering College Durg, where I had the opportunity to shape young minds and foster a culture of excellence in academia. From designing air heaters to developing functionally graded metal matrix composites, my professional journey has been marked by a diverse portfolio of projects, each fueled by a passion for innovation and a commitment to advancing engineering science. Alongside my professional endeavors, I actively engage in organizing national conferences, presenting technical papers, and contributing to faculty development programs, all aimed at driving technological innovation forward. My academic achievements, including Best Paper Awards and numerous peer-reviewed publications, stand as a testament to my dedication to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in materials engineering.
