About
I am a structural engineering graduate from the University of Bologna, Italy, and currently a PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne. My research focuses on thermal-mechanical analysis of concrete and steel structures, thermal energy storage, renewable energy, and high-temperature energy storage infrastructures, including molten salt and packed-bed tanks.
I am interested in leveraging the power of computational tools and numerical algorithms for multi-scale modeling of concrete, steel, and large-scale composite structures. I believe that by understanding the nano-to-macro and macro-to-engineering level behavior of the structures at different loading and exposure conditions, we can get closer to designing more sustainable energy infrastructures.
