Yang Zhang is a PhD holder and a Lecturer at the Academy of Music, Xinyang Normal University, China. His research spans music education, ideological and belief education, and the intersection of music pedagogy with contemporary social and cultural contexts.

Yang Zhang has published several influential papers, including “Research on Ideal and Belief Education of Young Teachers in Private Schools”, “Problems of Oboe Teaching in the Time of the COVID-19 Pandemic” (SSCI Q1), and “Scientific and Theoretical Analysis of the Musical and Pedagogical Concept.” His work often integrates psychological and pedagogical perspectives to explore the development of musical abilities and the broader impact of music education.

Beyond academic publications, Yang Zhang has led multiple research projects funded by provincial and municipal institutions. As the principal investigator, he has undertaken projects such as "Research on Media Convergence and Literary and Artistic Communication in the Internet Era" (Zhoukou Federation of Social Sciences) and "Exploration and Practice of Campus Music Culture Construction in Private Universities" (Henan Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Associations). His research also delves into cultural heritage and ideological education, as reflected in his studies on the Dabie Mountain Spirit, revolutionary ballads in the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet areas, and Zhengzhou’s February 7 Red Culture.

Recognized for his contributions, Yang Zhang received the Second Prize of the Xuchang City Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award for his research on the inheritance and innovation of Chinese traditional music. He continues to advance the field of music education through curriculum development, particularly focusing on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) in normal colleges under the Henan Province Teacher Education Curriculum Reform Project.

His research not only enhances academic discourse in music education but also provides practical frameworks for integrating ideological and cultural elements into contemporary teaching methodologies.
