About
Dr. Siddhi Srivastava is a pharmaceutical scientist specializing in pharmacology, reproductive biology, molecular pharmacology, and translational preclinical research. She completed her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow. Her doctoral research, entitled "A Study on the Role of Vitamin D and its Receptor-Mediated Steroidogenesis in Chronic Stress-Induced Male Infertility," explored the molecular mechanisms underlying chronic stress-induced reproductive dysfunction and identified the therapeutic potential of vitamin D signaling and natural bioactive compounds in restoring steroidogenesis and male reproductive health.
Her research integrates experimental pharmacology with computational drug discovery to investigate disease mechanisms and develop novel therapeutic interventions. She possesses extensive expertise in preclinical animal models, reproductive pharmacology, endocrinology, molecular biology, histopathology, immunohistochemistry, Western blotting, ELISA, oxidative stress and inflammatory biomarker analysis, molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulation, and biostatistical analysis. Her work has significantly contributed to understanding vitamin D receptor (VDR)-mediated signaling, steroidogenic regulation, chronic stress biology, and natural product-based therapeutics.
Dr. Srivastava has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in internationally recognized journals, including The Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Tissue and Cell, Physiology & Behavior, International Immunopharmacology, Life Sciences, Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, Disease-a-Month, Reproductive Sciences, and Biointerface Research in Applied Chemistry. Her publications encompass reproductive pharmacology, chronic stress biology, inflammation, oxidative stress, computational drug discovery, and translational biomedical research.
In addition to her research contributions, she serves as an Assistant Professor at Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University, Greater Noida, where she is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, mentoring research scholars, curriculum development, and scientific writing. She has previously served as an Assistant Professor at Babu Banarasi Das Northern India Institute of Technology, Lucknow, further strengthening her academic and research experience.
Dr. Srivastava has presented her research at several national and international scientific conferences and has received multiple recognitions, including the International Women Achievers Award 2025 for her contributions to science and research. She has also received awards for outstanding oral and poster presentations at international conferences. Her academic profile is further strengthened by contributions to an academic textbook, granted national and international design patents in biomedical devices, and active engagement in peer review for reputed international scientific journals.
Her current research interests focus on vitamin D biology, steroidogenesis, reproductive endocrinology, chronic stress, inflammation, oxidative stress, molecular pharmacology, computational drug discovery, drug repurposing, natural product pharmacology, and translational therapeutics. She is committed to advancing innovative, mechanism-based therapeutic strategies by integrating experimental pharmacology, molecular biology, and in silico approaches to address complex human diseases. Through interdisciplinary collaborations, high-quality research, and academic mentorship, she aims to contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences and translational medicine while fostering the next generation of researchers.
