Vijay Shankar Sharma is an independent researcher based in Gurugram, India. He developed the Big Flare-Up Theory (BFUT), a comprehensive alternative cosmological framework, entirely from first principles without institutional affiliation or external funding. BFUT proposes an infinite, eternal universe in which galactic recession is explained by gravitational sorting, the CMB by dynamic thermal equilibrium, and Einstein's cosmological constant by the energy density of the physical substrate of space-time (the Spaticle field). The theory has generated ten falsifiable predictions, one of which was confirmed by independent peer-reviewed measurement at the time of first publication. He holds a Chartered Accountancy qualification, an MBA from the Indian School of Business, and completed an Advanced Development Program at The Wharton Business School, U Penn. He is also working on other exciting fields on questions that remain unanswered till date.
