About
UCLA trained researcher in stem cells and regenerative medicine with experience executing, assisting, and overseeing research projects involving stem cells isolation, organoid culture and directed differentiation. Primary research focuses on deciphering signaling pathways regulating murine and human stem cells (SC) lineage specification via deterministic and stochastic gene expression during regeneration after injury. Extensive experience in understanding the mechanism of Adult Stem Cells (ASCs), Embryonic Stem Cells (ESCs) and Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (iPSCs) in lung, pancreatic and bone regeneration, lineage specification and directed differentiation in both murine and human models. Expertise in different stem cell culture, cell signaling, molecular biology, 3D cultures, confocal microscopy, FACS. Experience working with National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) projects for Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCS), bone stem cells and bone regeneration in space. Currently working as ASSISTANT PRofessor, in the area of airway stem cells derived lung organoids in developing disease model for infection biology for high throughput drug screening.
