About
Furquan Ahmad is a researcher specializing in geotechnical engineering with a focus on slope stability, probabilistic analysis, and the application of machine learning in civil engineering. He completed his Ph.D. at NIT Patna under the guidance of Prof. Pijush Samui. His research integrates advanced computational techniques, such as hybrid machine learning models and optimization algorithms, for assessing slope stability under static and seismic conditions. With over 11 publications in reputed journals, including Journal of Mountain Science and Scientific Reports, Dr. Ahmad has contributed significantly to risk assessment and design methodologies in geotechnical engineering. He also has expertise in teaching Soil Mechanics and Advanced Foundation Engineering and aims to expand his work to reliability-based designs and spatial variability modeling in the future
