Dr. Adarsh Kumar is an academician, researcher, and mentor with over eight years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration in the field of management. He brings a well-rounded professional profile that spans academia, government, and the corporate sector, giving him a holistic perspective on management theory and practice.
He currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Management at the Institute of Technology & Management, Gwalior, where he is actively engaged in teaching, research, consultancy, examination processes, and the coordination of academic and cultural activities.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Kumar has gained diverse professional experience across multiple domains. He served as Assistant Manager with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, contributing to research-based projects in tourism development and policy implementation. He has also worked in the corporate sector, where he gained firsthand exposure to industry practices, organizational dynamics, and business operations an experience that continues to enrich his teaching and research with practical, real-world insights.
On the academic side, he has held the position of Assistant Professor at Aditya College, Gwalior, under the ordinance of Jiwaji University, and served as Guest Faculty at Jiwaji University for two years.
His research interests span the application of Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies in business and education, technology adoption in mobile banking and digital payments, sustainable tourism, destination branding, Tourism Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Digital Marketing, and Human Resource Management. His current research focuses on AI-driven personalisation, consumer engagement, trust, and privacy in digital platforms. He has published in Scopus-indexed journals, contributed book chapters, and presented at national and international conferences.
Dr. Kumar has published research papers in peer-reviewed and Scopus-indexed journals and contributed book chapters to edited volumes published by national and international publishers. He has also presented his work at various national and international conferences.
At the institutional level, he serves as a coordinator for NAAC and NBA accreditation processes, working toward quality enhancement and academic excellence. He is deeply committed to guiding students to become skilled, ethical, and responsible professionals, and firmly believes in the value of linking research with practice.
