About
I Dr.(Mrs.) Hongray Howrelia Patnaik (J) nativity of Chennai, did my PG and Doctorate degrees at Loyola College, University of Madras. Also I was a recipient of Jawaharlal Nehru fellowship for doctoral studies from JNU, New Delhi.
I have done my teaching career satisfactorily well at Loyola College, having been selected as a faculty in Rama Devi Women’s University (Department of Biotechnology) and Utkal University (Department of Zoology), Bhubaneswar, Odisha. My passion
for research is motivational with special interests in Molecular Technologies . (RNAi analysis, Gene knock out techniques). I have gained more research experience in the area of Insect Innate Immunology, cell signaling transduction (Immune Genes an Insect Model) and molecular Entomology. Also having research experience in the area of ‘Genomics’ and Transcriptomic analysis of Next generation sequencing technology. I have good working efficiency, thinking ability and brilliant communication skills, inquisitiveness regarding various findings and the ability to mentor and guide peers. It would be an asset to expand the research & development at the Institute.
I am good at writing and published quite no of papers as a First author, Co-first author and Co-author in peer reviewed Journals with good impact factors like, “Developmental and comparative Immunology”, “Genes and Genomes”, “International journal of molecular sciences”, “Genes”, “BMC Genomics”, “Molecular Genetics”. Also I had researched the transcriptome characterization of threatened species in Korea. In which I was involved in De novo Transcriptome Generation and Annotation, SSR Marker analysis using Illumina Paired End Sequencing Technology and also, I gained an experience in the area of Transcriptome analysis sufficiently.
The ability to organize work load, Data analysis, Hectic timeliness, various constraints in working condition and dealing with multiple people along the way, are things that I could tackle with ease while deserving work seamlessly. With these positive abilities I would provide interesting facets to the project by invoking sufficient time to Research.
