About
Science and research have been a significant component of my education. I owe mentors from my educational institutions for nurturing my scientific interest and instilling an investigative mindset and a skill set in the field of science particularly molecular and developmental biology that I believe has strengthened my conceptual understanding. After B.Sc. (84%) and M.Sc. (73%) in Botany, I continued my research through pursuing M. Phil. (76%) and Ph. D. under supervision of Prof. Sandip Das, Department of Botany, Delhi University). I extended my skill set in the field of genome editing (CRISPR), Biostatistical tools, and plant tissue culture through various workshops. I have experience in scientific writing (published six research articles, two book chapters, and many conference papers) and also as an editor (Co-editor, annual magazine of the Department of Botany - “The Botanica” (2017-19)). I also have teaching experience: guest Assistant Professor in Botany at Dyal Singh College for six months (Nov, 2022 to May, 2023).
