About
I am a doctoral researcher in Biotechnology at Aligarh Muslim University, India, working at the intersection of protein biophysics, computational biophysics, and drug discovery. My research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of protein misfolding and amyloid aggregation, with particular interest in α-synuclein and other amyloidogenic proteins associated with neurodegenerative and systemic amyloid diseases.
My research combines experimental biophysical approaches, including fluorescence spectroscopy, circular dichroism, calorimetry, and microscopy, with computational approaches such as molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulations, Markov State Modelling, molecular free-energy calculations, and virtual screening. I use these approaches to identify and mechanistically characterize small-molecule modulators of protein aggregation and investigate their potential for therapeutic intervention.
I have interdisciplinary research experience spanning protein misfolding, computational drug discovery, structural bioinformatics, and plant molecular biology, including research experience at Aligarh Muslim University and the Indian Institute of Science. I am also actively involved in scientific peer review and research mentorship.
