About
Sangeeta Singh is a research scholar at the Indian Council of Medical Research – National Institute of Malaria Research (ICMR-NIMR), currently working under the supervision of Dr. Himmat Singh. Her research focuses on vector biology, with a particular emphasis on the bionomics, susceptibility patterns, and ecological adaptations of malaria vectors such as Anopheles stephensi and Anopheles culicifacies in arid regions. She is also engaged in laboratory and field studies exploring morphological changes and behavioral resilience of mosquito species.
Sangeeta has presented her research at national and international platforms, including the 21st International Congress for Tropical Medicine and Malaria (ICTMM 2024) in Sarawak, Malaysia, where she was awarded the Asia Pacific Travel Grant for Young Scientists. Her academic training includes expertise in susceptibility assays, chromosomal studies, and ecological data analysis relevant to vector-borne diseases.
She is committed to expanding her skills in molecular biology and vector surveillance and is actively seeking opportunities to collaborate on global health initiatives focused on malaria control and elimination.
