About

Dr. Akash Singh Yadav is an Assistant Professor in the Finance & Accounting area at the Indian Institute of Management Kashipur. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and has qualified for the UGC-NET & JRF examination four times (three in Management and once in Commerce), achieving an All-India Rank of 31 with a 99.90 percentile score in Management in June 2020. His teaching interests include Corporate Finance, Financial Accounting, Financial Institutions and Markets, Corporate Restructuring, and Security Analysis. His research focuses on Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, Political Connections, Investment Efficiency Institutional Quality, Debt Maturity, Product Market Competition, Sustainable Finance, Biodiversity Risk, and Asset Pricing. My research has been published in leading ABDC A* and A-rated journals, including the Journal of Financial Stability, Journal of Accounting Literature, Meditari Accountancy Research, International Journal of Managerial Finance, Asian Review of Accounting, Journal of Corporate Accounting & Finance, and Eurasian Economic Review. He has presented his research at prominent national and international conferences, including the Global Finance Conference (Italy), PAN-IIT, PAN-IIM, the International Finance Conference (IIM Raipur), MERC Conference (IIM Kashipur), and others. I also contribute to the academic community as a reviewer for several reputed international journals, including the Journal of Financial Stability, Corporate Governance: An International Review, Research in International Business and Finance, Benchmarking: An International Journal, Journal of Financial Reporting and Accounting, and Tourism Review. Before joining IIM Kashipur, Dr. Yadav was an Assistant Professor at the IIM Bodh Gaya and BML Munjal University, Haryana. Beyond academia, he is passionate about knowledge dissemination and runs an educational YouTube channel focused on UGC-NET and JRF preparation, with over 18,000 subscribers and nearly 1 million views, helping students understand finance in a simple and engaging way.
