Vijayakumar is working as General Manager and Senior Member Technical Staff at Advanced Video and Research BU in Ittiam. He joined Ittiam after graduation and has been working in the video compression domain for the last 17 years. Vijayakumar has worked on video codecs like VVC, AVC, HEVC, VP9, AV1 and has expertise in the optimization on various processor architectures. He was instrumental in developing products based on DSPs, RISC Processors, GPUs, and distributed systems. He has received Bachelor of Engineering degree in electronics and communication from NITK Surathkal, Karnataka, India, in 2008.
