About
I am Abhishek Kumar, a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), UK. I currently serve as Assistant Manager in the Research & Development Department at Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Limited (KPCL), Pune, where I lead cutting-edge projects in compressor technology and innovation.
I have completed my Ph.D. at City St George's, University of London, U.K., with a thesis titled "Developing a Framework for Modelling & Analyzing Multi-Stage Screw Compressors," exploring the integration of Screw Compressors, Machine Learning, and Optimization techniques.
My academic journey includes a Master’s in Manufacturing Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar, where I achieved the highest grade of 9.61, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
In addition to my academic and professional pursuits, I am a certified Six Sigma Green & Black Belt, Lean Management Professional, and Project Management Professional, endorsed by MSME, Govt. of India. As a member of the Project Management Institute, USA, I actively contribute to the professional community in project management and engineering.
My multifaceted background encompasses expertise in engineering design, research, and project management, with a strong focus on advancing the fields of Screw Compressors, Machine Learning, and Optimization.
