About
I am a Plant Biologist and a researcher at Thal University Bhakkar, specializing in Plant Ecophysiology with a particular focus on the phytotoxic effects of heavy metals and the role of nanoparticles in mitigating these stresses in crop plants.
My research interests include:
→ How heavy metals (Cd, Pb, As, Cr) disrupt plant growth, antioxidant systems, photosynthetic efficiency, and nutrient homeostasis
→ How engineered nanoparticles (ZnO, TiO₂, SiO₂) can restore plant health under metal-contaminated conditions
→ GIS and remote sensing applications to track vegetation cover changes and land degradation at landscape scale
Beyond research, I manage the Plant Ecophysiology Lab at Thal University Bhakkar as Lab Incharge, serve as Focal Person of Thal University for the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, coordinating sustainability data for our institution.
I am an active member of the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB), Royal Microscopical Society (RMS), and Society for Ecological Restoration (SER), reflecting my commitment to the broader scientific community.
I am actively seeking research collaborations, graduate school opportunities (M.Phil./Ph.D.), and connections with scientists working in environmental plant biology, phytoremediation, and nano-agriculture.
