About
I am an evolutionary and comparative genomicist interested in understanding how genome architecture and lineage-specific genomic changes contribute to animal diversification and adaptation. My research spans comparative genomics, gene-family evolution, chemosensory systems, genome assembly, and the genomic evolution of non-model and understudied animal lineages.
During my doctoral research, I investigated lineage-specific expansions of Class-A GPCRs in Lophotrochozoa, the evolutionary dynamics of vertebrate olfactory receptor repertoires across aquatic–terrestrial transitions, and adaptive gene-family diversification in marine gastropods using de novo whole-genome sequencing and comparative genomic approaches.
I am particularly interested in integrating high-quality genome sequencing, phylogenomics, genome architecture, repetitive-element evolution, and comparative analyses to investigate enigmatic and poorly studied animal taxa.
