About

Dr. Sadique Ali is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mahiyatul Amraz (Pathology) at the National Institute of Unani Medicine, Kottigepalya, Magadi Main Road, Bengaluru, Karnataka – 560091. With more than 12 years of teaching and research experience, he specializes in Mahiyatul Amraz and Unani fundamentals. His research interests include the Unani perspectives on Ilmul Amraz, ageing, obesity (Simān Mufriṭ), phlegmatic disorders, Waram-i-Kabid, and the role of Asbāb Sitta Ḍarūriyya in health and disease.
He has published over 30 research papers and review articles in peer-reviewed journals, contributed book chapters, and supervised postgraduate dissertations. Dr. Sadique Ali has delivered invited lectures at academic institutions, participated in CME programmes, and actively contributed to curriculum development in Unani medicine.
He is a member of the Board of Studies in Unani (Postgraduate), Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, and of the PG Department of Mahiyatul Amraz (Pathology), Govt. Tibbi College and Hospital, Kadam Kuan, Patna, Bihar (from 24.11.2023 to present).
He also served as Chief Editor of the annual health magazine Unani Pulse 2011 (Published by JDA, Faculty of Unani Medicine, AMU, Aligarh) and is presently serving as Assistant Editor of Tarjuman-e-Tib (a peer-reviewed, UGC-CARE listed, biannual Urdu journal of Unani Medicine, ISSN 2454-4507, NIUM, Bengaluru). He has also been a member of the editorial boards of various journals and magazines.
In addition, Dr. Sadique Ali has organized numerous conferences, workshops, seminars, and symposiums at institutional and national levels.
