About

Catastrophe risk modeler specializing in climate and weather-related risks to renewable energy infrastructure, currently at Renew Risk, a science-led catastrophe modelling firm focused on securing the energy transition for renewable assets.

At Renew Risk, leading the development of the firm’s first Severe Convective Storm (SCS) model for utility-scale solar farms, one of the first catastrophe models to explicitly capture hail, straight-line wind and tornado damage mechanisms and stow response for solar PV assets.

Previous experience includes climate-focused financial risk management at Morgan Stanley and catastrophe modelling at Gallagher Re, integrating physical and transition risk into portfolio analytics for the re/insurance and banking sectors.

Academic training in Atmospheric Sciences (IIT Delhi) and Applied Mathematics (Jadavpur University) underpins work that spans hazard and vulnerability model development, climate-conditioned risk analytics and financial impact assessment for renewable energy projects.

Motivated to advance open, transparent and scientifically rigorous tools that enable industry and researchers to better quantify, price and manage emerging climate and SCS risks to renewable energy systems.
