Mohit Verma is a postgraduate student in Applied Clinical Psychology at Lovely Professional University, India. He previously completed his BA (Honours) in Psychology at the same institution, where he was awarded the University Gold Medal for securing the first position in order of merit in the program. His academic interests include Artificial Intelligence in mental health, psychotherapy, behavioral neuroscience, neuropsychology, and gender studies.
He has worked as a Mental Health Advocate with the Indian Army under a project of Unity Critical Care Hospital, Jalandhar, where he conducted psychoeducational initiatives to support psychological well-being among personnel. In addition, he has completed clinical training at Fortis Healthcare and NHS Hospital, acquiring experience in diagnostic evaluation, psychological assessment, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavior, and mindfulness-based interventions.
Verma has contributed to several research projects examining religiosity, cognitive flexibility, paranormal beliefs, and moral policing. His scholarly work includes publications on the role of artificial intelligence in mental healthcare as well as manuscripts addressing discrimination, resilience, and mental health in marginalized communities.
He has been recognized for academic excellence through the LPU NEST Scholarship and qualified the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in Psychology in 2025 with an All India Rank of 723. He has also pursued advanced certifications in systematic reviews, research ethics, and quantitative methods through Johns Hopkins University, Stanford Online, and the American Psychological Association.
