I am Er. Ashok Sharma, with more than ten years of experience, I am committed ICT, MIS and DRR specialist with a focus on developing and overseeing information systems for disaster management.. Currently, I serve as a Disaster and Information Management Specialist at the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) under the Ministry of Home Affairs in Nepal. My work focuses on designing, developing, and managing vital information systems that support the resilience and sustainability of urban and cultural heritage, as well as public infrastructures. My career has been marked by significant positions in important government agencies, such as the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA), where I have played a crucial role in putting technology-driven solutions into place and offering technical leadership for Sendai Framework-aligned national-level systems.
I hold a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Advanced College of Engineering and Management (ACEM), Tribhuvan University (TU) and Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Nepal College of Information Technology, Pokhara University (PU) and I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Science and Technology from Dr. K.N. Modi University in India. My expertise includes a wide range of programming languages, database management, and GIS applications. I am passionate about leveraging advanced technologies to create strategic solutions that optimize processes and ensure the safety of critical infrastructures.
