Sapna Goel is an accomplished Library and Information Science professional with over 14 years of academic and professional experience. She is currently serving at the “Central Dental Library, Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to be University), Mullana-Ambala (NAAC A++)”, where she has been contributing since 2015. She is “pursuing a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science” from “Parul University, Vadodara”, where she secured the first position in coursework under the supervision of “Prof. (Dr.) Dhaval Bhatt”. She is also “UGC-NET qualified” and holds postgraduate degrees in “Library & Information Science” as well as “M.A. Hindi”.
Her academic journey is enriched with research and editorial contributions, including her role as “Associate Editor of the International Journal of Information Dissemination and Technology (IJIDT)”. She has published and co-authored numerous research papers, book chapters, and articles in reputed journals and edited volumes, covering themes such as scientometric studies, digital libraries, plagiarism detection, and the future of libraries.
She holds a “patent for a “Book Binding Machine” registered by the Government of India and actively engages with new technologies, including AI tools and advanced library management software such as SOUL, Koha, and Turnitin. Her work reflects a balance of traditional library practices and modern digital innovations.
Beyond academics, Sapna has actively participated in “national and international seminars, workshops, faculty development programmes, and conferences”, continuously upgrading her professional skills. Her “citations on Google Scholar and ResearchGate” reflect her growing contribution to LIS research.
She is recognized for her “self-confidence, progressive outlook, and positive attitude”, with a strong commitment to education, knowledge dissemination, and lifelong learning.
