About
Hi, I’m Dr. Kailash. My research centers on wave-structure interaction problems in hydrodynamics, where I develop mathematical models to understand and predict the complex interplay between ocean waves and coastal structures. I employ advanced integral equation techniques to model structures of arbitrary shape in both finite and infinite water depths, even in the presence of seabed undulations. I also work on wave energy converters (WECs) as a key application area, using stochastic modeling to simulate realistic ocean wave spectra and sea states. This enables detailed analysis of floating WEC responses in various motion modes through response spectrum analysis, contributing to the efficient design and assessment of energy-harvesting devices.
