About

I am Dr. Ravi Kant, a legal scholar and educator working at the intersection of law and emerging technologies. My academic background combines law and technology, holding an integrated B.Tech. (Computer Science) + LL.B. (Hons.) in Cyber Law from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, an LL.M. in Constitutional Law from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, and a Ph.D. in Law from Uttaranchal University, where my doctoral research focused on enhancing court accessibility through Web 3.0 technologies.

My research interests include Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics Law, Blockchain, Data Privacy, and Constitutional Law, with a broader focus on how digital transformation impacts governance, legal frameworks, and access to justice. I am particularly interested in the techno-legal dimensions of law, exploring challenges posed by AI in judicial decision-making, algorithmic bias, cybercrime regulation, data protection frameworks, and the ethical implications of emerging technologies.

I have authored multiple research publications in reputed national and international journals. Some of my notable works include studies on digital rights management systems, economic repercussions of cybercrimes on Indian businesses, dispute resolution in cyberspace, AI-driven judicial processes, and data privacy in higher education. A few additional SCOPUS-indexed articles are forthcoming. I regularly present at international and national conferences, engaging in interdisciplinary discussions on technology and law.

Alongside research, I am an experienced teacher, currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Law at ICFAI Law School, IFHE Hyderabad, where I teach Constitutional Law, Cyber Law, Legal Research Methodology, Artificial Intelligence & Robotics Law, and Blockchain & Cryptocurrency Legal Analytics. My teaching integrates innovative pedagogical methods, including the use of animated concept videos, interactive quizzes through QR codes, and AI-driven tools to create engaging and application-oriented learning experiences. I also mentor students in writing research papers, guiding them to publish in quality journals and present at academic conferences.

In addition to teaching and research, I actively contribute to institutional development. I have organized and coordinated several guest lectures, workshops, and national & international conferences, particularly in the fields of AI and law, ADR, cybersecurity, and data protection. I also played a key role in establishing the Centre of Excellence for Alternative Dispute Resolution at ICFAI Law School. I am also serving as co-coordinator of the Centre of Excellence for Cyber Law and Data Protection.

My vision is to bridge the gap between rapidly evolving technologies and legal frameworks, making legal education and research more future-ready, globally relevant, and impactful. I aim to contribute to the development of legal solutions that address ethical, governance, and regulatory challenges in the digital era while enhancing access to justice through technology-driven approaches.

I actively collaborate with interdisciplinary researchers and industry professionals, contributing to the global dialogue on technology law, data governance, cybersecurity, and AI ethics.
