About
Dr. SURYA K is a researcher in the Department of Agronomy, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. He has completed his Ph.D. in Agriculture (Agronomy), with research focused on the comparative evaluation of organic, natural and conventional farming systems and their influence on crop productivity, soil health and ecosystem services under cotton–sorghum cropping systems.
His research interests include sustainable crop production, organic and natural farming, nutrient management, crop physiology, soil health, soil microbial activity, ecosystem services, climate-resilient agriculture and resource-efficient farming practices. He has also contributed to research on nutrient management in millets, non-chemical weed management, sustainable fertilizers, crop physiological responses and emerging technologies for sustainable agricultural production.
He has published research articles, review papers, book chapters and conference contributions in areas related to sustainable agriculture and crop production. His research aims to develop scientifically sound and environmentally sustainable approaches for improving agricultural productivity while maintaining soil health and ecosystem integrity.
