NABANITA CHAKRABORTY
Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, Hyderabad Central University
About
To be awarded Ph.D. and am specialized in the interdisciplinary research of Nanotechnology, Material Sciences, and Environmental Chemistry. My doctoral research focuses on developing high-performance, cost-effective solutions for global water scarcity.
I pioneered Graphene Oxide (GO) nanomaterials for advanced water purification via adsorption. My material achieves rapid and high-efficiency remediation (under 10 minutes) for a wide range of pollutants, including heavy metals, dyes, and pharmaceuticals. Designed for regeneration and circular water design, I prioritize creating low-energy and climate-resilient filtration systems.
I hold practical experience from a six-month tenure at a UK-based water purification startup, linking academic research with commercial product development. My skills include Wastewater treatment, Green chemistry, aerogels development, and hands-on use of FESEM, BET, and UV-Vis Spectrometry.
Deeply committed to inclusive innovation, I leverage my skills in Teaching & mentoring and Community outreach by delivering online environmental lectures for capacity building. My objective is to fuse interdisciplinary research with sustainable system design, driving impact through technology, education, and collaboration. I am eager to transition my research into impactful, real-world solutions.
