About
I am a PhD graduate in Chemistry from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, India, with research expertise in the design and development of donor–π–acceptor-based fluorescent probes for biological applications. My work focuses on the synthesis of environment-responsive small molecules for selective detection of toxic analytes and enzymes in subcellular organelles, particularly mitochondria. I have hands-on experience in organic synthesis, fluorescence spectroscopy, confocal microscopy, and in vitro/in vivo bioimaging.
My research interests include molecular probe development, enzyme-activated imaging, endosomal and mitochondrial targeting, and activatable photosensitizers for diagnostic and therapeutic applications such as photodynamic therapy (PDT). I have conducted international research internships in Taiwan under prestigious fellowships (TEEP and IIPP), which broadened my experience in collaborative, interdisciplinary research environments.
I am also skilled in various characterization techniques (NMR, UV-Vis, HPLC, BET) and analytical tools (ChemDraw, Origin, ImageJ, MestReNova). My long-term goal is to bridge synthetic chemistry with biomedical imaging and therapy to address pressing challenges in disease diagnosis and treatment.
