About

She successfully obtained a Ph.D. degree in 2023 from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Varanasi, India. Her research is centered on the Static & Dynamic Characterization of Unreinforced and Reinforced Municipal Solid Waste (MSW Fines) for Geotechnical Applications. This comprehensive study encompassed both experimental and numerical investigations, including an in-depth exploration of cyclic behaviour, liquefaction potential, and dynamic characteristics of MSW Fines, to enhance geotechnical applications.

She now embarks on a new research project at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, collaborating with Dr. Ganesh Rathod. This project, titled Experimental Studies on Dynamic Characteristics of Tailings to Understand Failures and Liquefaction, aims to comprehensively investigate the dynamic properties of mine tailings to gain insights into failures and liquefaction events within tailings storage facilities (TSFs). The research is motivated by the imperative need to prevent catastrophic failures, mitigate environmental and safety risks, and develop more effective strategies for the management of tailings.
