About

I have earned my PhD in Linguistics from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT-P).

I completed MA in Linguistics from the Department of Linguistics, University of Delhi in 2020 and was awarded the UGC-NET JRF in the December 2020 – July 2021 cycle, along with qualifying GATE (XH) in Linguistics in 2021. Prior to that, I obtained my BA in English from Department of English and Foreign Languages, Tezpur University, Assam.

My research lies at the intersection of morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics, with a particular focus on examining the polyfunctional item /heri/ (হেৰি) in Assamese.
