About
I am a PhD student at University College Dublin, specializing in anaerobic digestion and bioenergy generation. With an engineering background in biotechnology (BTech, Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology; MTech, National Institute of Technology Jalandhar), my research journey has focused on sustainable solutions for waste management.
During my Master's, I investigated biohydrogen generation from vegetable waste, exploring dark and photo fermentative processes. Following this, I worked as a Junior Research Fellow on a SERB (Govt)-funded project at Center for Energy and Environment in KLE Technological University, where I focused on food waste valorisation and bioelectricity generation.
These experiences have shaped my passion for environmental biotechnology and waste valorisation. At UCD, my PhD research —supported by BiOrbic, Ireland —
aims to develop innovative approaches to tackling the food waste problem through anaerobic digestion.
