About
Dr. Sabina Khan is a women’s health specialist and occupational scientist whose scholarship spans two interconnected areas: women’s health and health professions education. Her work focuses on trauma-informed care, psychosocial well-being, health equity, and educational approaches that strengthen empathy, cultural responsiveness, and clinical reasoning among future health professionals. Her research develops programs that support daily life and well-being for women, children, and marginalized communities. Dr. Khan is the author of the first comprehensive women’s health text in occupational therapy and a recipient of the national 2025 Vince Hutchins Leadership Award from the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs. She was also selected as a 2025 Emerging Scholar by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education.
