About
An Assistant Professor (Junior) at Vellore Institute of Technology, specializing in microbiology and bioinformatics, with a strong focus on combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR). My research integrates genomics, systems biology, structural bioinformatics, and machine learning to develop novel therapeutic strategies targeting priority AMR pathogens. My research also investigates the mutational landscape and fitness cost of non-synonymous mutations in AMR genes, explore protein-protein and host-pathogen interactions, and identify novel drug targets. Currently, I am focused on screening, optimizing, and validating antimicrobial peptide mutants and novel inhibitor leads to counter multidrug-resistant bacterial pathogens.
